Nord Oko

A forgotten military base, buried deep within a snow-swept mountain range. Its terrain offers a wide array of challenges, from caverns and subterranean bunkers to exposed hilltops and a dominating central dish.

Map Introduction

Buried in the Arctic ice, this remote research station was built to study Earth’s atmosphere using a massive satellite dish and experimental laser. While officially for climate science, rumors swirl that the laser’s raw power could be turned into a weapon, a secret rivaling sides are desperate to control. Abandoned equipment and shattered trust litter the frozen complex. The towering satellite dish provides crosshatching line of sights, and its four rotating access tunnels force close-range skirmishes, time your push or get caught in the gears! Underground bunkers and ice caves let flankers ambush enemies, but keep in mind that it’s a night map, so threats hide in every shadow.

Map Overview

Central Satellite Dish

A spinning satellite dish in the center of the map opens and closes lines of fire. Controlling this point is high risk but valuable, offering your team the ability to dominate open space and disrupt predictable enemy routes.

Elevated Ridge Lines

High ridge lines near spawn provide exceptional lines of fire, but sticking around too long will isolate you from the battle. Use these positions to pick off targets before dropping down and supporting your team in key zones.

'D' and 'B' Points

These points will open up options for your team to flank with the tunnels and bunkers, or to pressure the central point directly. Securing them gives more control and flexibility in your approach to contesting enemy points.

'A' and 'E' Points

These points will not only cut off several enemy routes out of spawn but will provide good high ground allowing for ranged control of the central point. Taking and holding these creates map pressure and flanking opportunities.

Map Overview

A forgotten military base, nestled deep within a mountainous region and partially entombed by arctic ice has become a crucial battleground for Project CW's various factions. Though commonly referred to as "Nord Oko," this is actually the name of its prominent central satellite dish.

While officially constructed for atmospheric research, the base is rumored to house technology related to a powerful laser-based weapon, making it a highly desirable objective. As a result many factions are willing to fight for their claim to this abandoned base in the hopes of gaining whatever technology it may hold.

Nord Oko challenges players with a variety of combat environments. A labyrinthine network of tunnels and bunkers provides avenues for flanking and brutal close-quarters fighting, while sheer cliffs and elevated terrain offer vantage points for long-range sharpshooting. The central dish dominates the landscape, creating shifting sightlines that can expose vehicles to unexpected danger.

Pro Tip

If playing the central ‘C’ point, controlling the outside of the dish is crucial to being able to hold and capture the point. Due to the rotation of the dish players sitting within the point unprotected are likely to be hit from all sides and killed.

"I personally prefer controlling the flanks with quick pushes in C if I need to recapture the point. Staying in the central C point is a quick way to die."

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I fight in / for the central dish?

Depending on the map situation this might be a bad call. Does your team control the A/B/D/E caps? if not, your energy will be better spent there as going to the central point will likely see you heading back to spawn.
