Community Managers Reintroduction

Introduction

Hello News fans! With us gearing up for our next playtest, James and I thought it would be a good idea to re-introduce ourselves to the 94,000+ of you that weren't here when we did it the first time. We felt it would be helpful for everyone to know who are the Community Managers working on this project. Below you'll find our original introductions from when we joined Wargaming and more specifically the team working on Project CW.

I just wanted to take a quick moment to introduce myself. I'm Matt, and I am very pleased to announce that I am the new NA Community Manger for Project CW. I just joined this week, so I am still getting caught up on everything, but I'm looking forward to jumping in and hitting the ground running - or I guess I should say 'rolling'.

I am coming over to Wargaming from Facebook Gaming where I spent a little under two years and prior to that nine years at EA. Video games are a huge passion for me and I can't imagine working in another industry at this point. I started playing video games very casually at an early age and have dabbled in every genre, but FPS was absolutely my first love that got me hooked (thank you Battlefield Vietnam, CoD4, and MW2). Alongside my love for FPS games, I'm an avid enjoyer of MMO and RPG games with my favorite being Dragon Age Origins. I am also a big Star Wars fan and an absolute nerd for all things Deadpool.

That's enough about me for now, but I'll have more information on the game to share soon. I'm incredibly excited to be here and can't wait to share with you all what we have in store.

I’m James, your newest Community Manager! I’m just starting my second week here, so I’m still getting used to how it all works, but I’ll be hanging out in here making bad jokes and absorbing everything I can from now on.

Just a little about me if you’re interested: I’ve been a CM in the industry for a good while now, and in that time, I’ve been all over the place. I started out at Creative Assembly working on the Total War: Warhammer franchise (Skaven 4 lyf) before moving on to Team17 for a bit, and then most recently at Junkfish working on some of their upcoming projects. As for my personal interests, it’ll be no surprise to learn that I tend to enjoy video games! I love a good RPG, so naturally Baldurs gate 3 has been my obsession for the past month or so. Any other Astarion fans in here 👀? I also dabble in bookbinding, play a couple instruments, and absolutely love the Lord of the Rings.
