Meet the Team - _VEN0M

Introduction

Hello, I'm Lumine (This maybe a shocker LOL). I usually go by Venom or Ven online. I'm 20 years old and have been dabbling in different projects for several years. Most notably, being a computer repair fan. I've always been a fan of tinkering with technology, figuring out their insides. While interested in that, I've been a gamer at heart. I started out on mobile then console, now on PC. Though if you had to ask me what my most memorable game is, I would say Wii Sports. Fast-forward a couple of years, now I'm enjoying Project CW.

On my personal side, I'm considered young, but I'm still considering my options for what I want to do in life. I do have some social media, but I rarely post on any of them because I don't have anything I want to share while being stressed out from life.

I hope this post shines a little light on myself, who I am, where I've been, where I'm going, and my job as part of the PCWStats team. As Sine said in his post, it is a nice thing to do every so often.

What I Do

Besides figuring out my schooling, I am a frontend developer for PCWStats. I recently joined Sine's team as our goals aligned: create a community ran site for the game we enjoy (Project CW). Originally I was the one creating all the related tournament pages, but now that title doesn't quite fit as I have done more than just tournaments.

Before I joined, I was creating spreadsheets for updates during the second alpha test. I would catalog each change with images. Some found these useful while others didn't. That didn't stop me however, as I continued doing them. Eventually I had the idea to create my own community site for PCW, that's when I was recommended by Antitank to contact Sine.

I started small only making slight tweaks, then started growing and doing more. Now I am an official member of the PCWStats team. Like Sine, I don't have a strict formula, the majority of the time I decide what I want to work on when I wake up. I'll eat some breakfast, turn on my PC and music, then get to work.

My Background

I'm mostly self-taught out of passion. I have taken some classes but the majority of what I retain and learn from them has been from passion. Some of my passion projects have been a PiHole server, Jellyfin Server, and now PCWStats. You can usually catch me working on one of them or gaming. When I'm not doing any of those, you can catch me repairing computers or learning to cook (Seriously, a computer geek learning to cook? Yes!).

Growing up I really was never taught how to cook, so I am doing it now. I'm not great, but I can make some delicious meals! Recently I've been cooking chicken and seafood. I can fry up some cajun seasoned cod with garlic Parmesan green beans or my homemade seasoned fried chicken.

My music taste? It can flip-flop regularly depending on my mood. Usually you can catch me listening to hip-hop and rap or reggae. There are times when It's neither of these two.... being neo-folk. If you had to ask me favorite bands? I would say The Elovaters, Sabaton, Suicideboy$, Heilung, and Wardruna.

Getting more personal, I am a recovering depressed and burnt out person. I use gaming, streaming, and my passion projects as my outlets. This has had major impacts on my life, but I am still here doing better than what I could've imagined. I had a rough start with a lot of hurdles but have constantly been fighting for my place in the world with no signs of stopping.

Favorite Thing About Project CW

My favorite thing about PCW? I'd have to say it's the fusion Wargaming is cooking. Project CW fuses team based objective combat (like Overwatch and Marvel Rivals) with tanks. These are two things I am passionate about. With this fusion of passions, I find Project CW enjoyable, fun, and can see myself playing for years. It's good timing too since, after 10 years, I have gotten tired of playing World of Tanks Blitz.

Favorite Agent and Tank

This is a tough question for me because we didn't have all the agents and tanks present in Alpha 1 in Alpha 2. But having to pick my favorite, I'd have to say Blitz with his Leopard 1A1B in its current state with Raketa's T-62AV in a close second. Both of these match my preferred playstyle being fast nuisances with interesting mechanics.

I mean, who doesn't love the sight of being tunneled like a mosquito during the summer heat?

Fun Facts

Hmm, a fun fact... I know! People are surprised when they find out I am an open and welcoming person due to my RBF.

I'm also a caffeine addict like Sine, but I prefer energy drinks over coffee. My favorites are the white and pink Monsters (IFYKYK).

If I'm not drinking a Monster, you can catch me enjoying a nice glass of ice-cold sweet tea.
